Case Study

Farmhouse built in 1832

We are proud to say that we have recently completed a small renovation process in a Farmhouse built in 1832.

A very concerned lady called us as she was suffering from a serious damp issue within her home. This was causing  the property to become almost inhabitable. One of our experienced surveyors upon inspection revealed that the extent of the damp was being caused by  the inside floor level being lower than the outside ground level  which allows water to penetrate into the walls and floor! Our surveyor advised that Installing a damp course was not an option in this case and gave a detailed description of the work that would need to be carried out to rectify the problem which would include dry lining the whole of the property.

Remedial works were carried out and the job was completed in just 3 weeks! Our customer was very happy that the work was carried out in a professional, efficient way with as limited disruption as possible! The house is now completely dry and our customer feels as though she has her home back.
